50 Years of Responsible Tourism

Three StarACE Cultural Tours is proud to announce that we are one of a handful of companies to have been awarded AITO’s five-star accreditation for responsible tourism.

This means that ACE has reached the highest level of responsible tourism in five areas: protecting the environment, respecting local traditions, benefiting local communities, conserving historic buildings and artworks, understanding historical and cultural issues.

What makes ACE unique amongst travel operators is that for the last five decades we have been giving something back to the communities that host our tours.

ACE supports local businesses wherever possible and each year the trustees of our parent company, the Association for Cultural Exchange, make substantial donations to charitable and educational projects in the regions we visit, both in the United Kingdom and abroad.

ACE is also working alongside Flora and Fauna International, the world’s oldest conservation charity, to conserve peatland and forest habitats that “lock in” carbon mass. If you are concerned about your own carbon footprint, you can contribute to the scheme by sending a cheque to ACE – made payable to Flora and Fauna International – for £5 for each European tour and £10 (or more!) for each worldwide tour.

ACE Cultural Tours is a member of AITO, the Association of Independent Tour Operators. AITO represents some of Britain's best specialist travel companies.
